Pune, dt. May 17: A meeting of Shiv Sena party chief and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was held at BKC ground under Shiv Sampark Abhiyan. In this meeting, Uddhav Thackeray strongly criticized BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Uddhav Thackeray also raised questions on Sangh's Hindutva on black hat. However, the criticism leveled against the team by the former Pune city chief Shyam Deshpande has made the Shiv Sena 'Jai Maharashtra'.

If a person wears saffron hat, he becomes a Hindu, then why is the hat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh black ?, asked Uddhav Thackeray. Also, the RSS did not contribute to the country's independence movement. In this movement, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was nowhere to be found, Thackeray lashed out at the Sangh. However, Shyam Deshpande, a Shiv Sena office bearer from Pune, has slammed the party for this criticism.

Shyam Deshpande was a Shiv Sena corporator from Kothrud between 2000 and 2012. He was also the Chairman of the Standing Committee of NMC from 2008-09. Deshpande has been a volunteer of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since 1972. Deshpande also released the leaflet on Monday.

In a statement issued on Monday, Deshpande said, "Shiv Sainiks and Swayamsevaks are saddened by the break up of Shiv Sena-BJP alliance. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's criticism of the team was heartbreaking. There was a Sangh even before the BJP. I honestly think there was no need to drag the team into politics. I feel that by dragging the Sangh into politics, Uddhav Saheb, you have held the position of Begadi secularists. However, it is sad to note that the right direction given by the Hindu-hearted emperor Balasaheb Thackeray to the aggression of Hindutva laid down by the Sangh has gone astray today by making unwarranted political criticism on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. How can we forget the love we have for Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and many Sangh Shirastha leaders for power? Deshpande has said in his letter that he is stopping the work of Shiv Sena party today as he has indirectly dragged the Sangh and the Congress into the political controversy.
